IU-Michigan the Second-Most Watched Game on ESPN2 in Big Ten History

The Saturday, Sept. 26, football game between Indiana and Michigan was the second-most watched Big Ten football game ever on ESPN2, the conference announced today. Nearly 2.1 million households tuned in to see the contest, which saw the Wolverines edge the Hoosiers, 36-33.

Kirlew Named Campbell Trophy Semifinalist

Senior defensive end Jammie Kirlew has been named one of 54 Football Bowl Subdivision semifinalists for the 2009 William V. Campbell Trophy, the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced today. The NFF recognized 154 semifinalists across all divisions. The Campbell Trophy (formerly known as the Draddy Trophy), endowed by HealthSouth, is awarded based on academics, athletic ability and character aspects.

Hoosiers Announce Ohio State Game Captains

Indiana head football coach Bill Lynch announced linebacker Will Patterson, defensive end Jammie Kirlew, left tackle Rodger Saffold and quarterback Ben Chappell will serve as game captains when the Hoosiers welcome No. 9 Ohio State to Bloomington at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
