Indiana Travels to Akron for 2009 Road Opener

Starting 2-0 for the sixth straight season, the Indiana football team hits the road for the first time in 2009 with a visit to Akron (1-1). The Hoosiers will be the second team to visit brand new InfoCision Stadium (30,000) on Saturday, Sept. 19. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. EDT and the game will be televised on ESPNU.

IU-Michigan Game to Air on ESPN or ESPN2

Indiana’s Sept. 26 game at Michigan will kick off at noon EDT at Michigan Stadium and will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2, it was announced today. The final designation of which network the game will air on will be made following this weekend’s contests. All games can also be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network (Don Fischer, Pete Compise and Joe Smith).

Northwestern squandered a 21-point lead and needed a 49-yard field goal in the final seconds to beat Eastern Michigan 27-24. Wisconsin needed a 22-yard field goal in the second overtime to beat Fresno State 34-31.
