The Indiana football team will host an open scrimmage and autograph session at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 22. The scrimmage will kick off at 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute autograph session following the scrimmage on the field.
Hoosiers love their Friday nights under the lights. The sport’s national popularity growth has included Indiana, which has added 11 football-playing schools in the past 12 years. Southern Indiana has been the most fertile ground with the recent additions of Eastern Pekin, Crawford County and Forest Park, and Silver Creek’s program will reach varsity status in 2011.
